Southeastern Regional Black Archives, Research Center & Museum
One of the country's most extensive collections of African/American artifacts, such as a 500-piece Ethiopian cross collection, books pre-dating 1700 and memorabilia of notable black American heroes. Also a research center of black influence in history and culture, children enjoy a hands-on "Underground Railroad" exhibit.

The Capitol
One of four tower Capitols in the U.S. features panoramic view from 22-floor observatory/art gallery, House and Senate viewing galleries. HIstoric Capitol of Florida
Restored to its 1902 appearance with stained glass dome and red and white candy-striped awnings, now houses the Florida Legislative Research Center and Museum, restored House and Senate Chambers, Supreme Court and Governor's suite. Goodwood Museum & Gardens
Magnificent c.1834 estate features more than twenty structures including cottages (now used for meetings/receptions/weddings), a skating rink, aviary, water tower, carriage house, stables and nineteen acres of heirloom gardens. Over the years the gracious main house was home to a succession of prominent owners, each significant to Florida's political and social history. The Kirk Collection
A 300-piece collection of antique radios, televisions, microphones and other sound equipment, from turn-of-thecentury through the mid-50s. Highlights include 1950s RCA Nipper Dog, 1933 Emerson Mickey Mouse radio, vintage Hopalong Cassidy items and much more. Donated by Jim Kirk, first to receive a degree in speech with a broadcasting emphasis from FSU. Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm. FREE.

Knott House Museum

Step back in time as you enter this 1843 historic site. The former residence of William and Luella Knott, the home has been restored to its 1928 grandeur. Guided tours given on the hour 1-3 pm Wed-Fri, and 10 am-3 pm Sat. Closed Sun and Mon, as well as during the month of August. FREE.

Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science Gallery
Offers a wide array of visual art experiences. Visitors are treated to some of the most famous names in art history as well as the work of contemporary artists whose names might not yet be as well known. Exhibitions typically last for 90 days and often include objects from Smithsonian museums by virtue of The Brogan's affiliation status. Exhibitions often include objects from Tallahassee's own residents that support the major traveling themes. These unique complimentary sections are called "Tallahassee Collects." Museum of Florida History

Tracing Florida’s history throughout the centuries, permanent exhibits include a mastodon skeleton; a diorama depicting life along the St. John’s River before European contact; a tin-can camper, which brought early tourists to Florida; a recreated Florida steamboat; and a World War II exhibit.
