Big Bend Cycling Festival APRIL 12-13, 2008

The two-day event, which is co-hosted by Atomic Race Team and Capital City Cyclists, is expected to attract several thousand riders and spectators and will include criteriums, a road race and a re-routed Tour of Springtime Rural Vistas (TOSRV), a classic Tallahassee adventure. In addition to the races, downtown will be buzzing with cycling related vendors and organizations and other health and fitness- related organizations.

We are planning a bike blessing ceremony, family fun ride and bike safety demonstrations organized by the FSU Police Department and Cyclesafe.org. Spectators will also enjoy the downtown farmers’ market and Florida Wine Festival taking place around the corner from the race course.

Sunday’s events will showcase Gadsden County. The second century of TOSRV will begin in and end in Quincy. Sunday’s road race will start around Quincy’s courthouse square and test racers with a challenging 21- mile loop.
