Y'all: The Magazine for Southern People

'Y'ALL' COME BACK, NOW... AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS!

Publicity from a recent FAM (familiarization) tour (February 2006) asked readers to do just that. A two-page feature in Y'all: The Magazine of Southern People named Tallahassee a "great weekend venture" with a "unique dose of Dixie." FAM tour participants received top billing: Andrew’s Capital Grill & Bar, Barnacle Bill's, Challenger Learning Center, Goodwood Museum and Gardens, Hampton Inn & Suites, Old Capitol Museum, Park Plaza Hotel, and nearby neighbors, Nicholson’s Farmhouse Restaurant and Wakulla Springs State Park and Lodge.

Emerald Coast Magazine  June/July 2006

TALLAHASSEE A 'CAPITAL' IDEA FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY

The June/July 2006 edition of Emerald Coast Magazine named Tallahassee and the Capital Region among its "Five Great Escape Routes." Entrenched in the midst of their busy tourist season, the feature comes at a time when Emerald Coast residents are looking for alternatives to escape the crowds. Barely a 2.5 hour drive away, Tallahassee is positioned as the nearest of the five alternatives and is depicted as being well worth the drive.
