RAY BURGGRAF: Orbits and Horizons
850-513-0700 x 233
The Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science
350 South Duval Street
With jewel-like colors reminiscent of sweeping vistas of oceanic light or the blaze of sunsets, artist Ray Burggraf crafts acrylic paintings with seamless precision on sinuously shaped wood panels for the RAY BURGGRAF: Orbits and Horizons exhibit. Layers of transitioning color, reminiscent of atmospheric light, are applied to the wood board paintings that take on a biomorphic shape--nearly becoming sculptural abstractions of nature's landscapes. Join us for a walk and talk with artist, Ray Burggraf, on August 30 at 2 p.m.

THE ROSWELL EXHIBIT
850-513-0700 x 233
The Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science
350 South Duval Street
The Brogan Museum poses the question, "Do You Believe?" In a society overrun with extraterrestrial movies, novels, and video games, have UFO sightings only become fodder for science fiction, or is there any basis of truth in sightings or experiences with the extraterrestrial? The Brogan Museum, in association with Origins Museum Institute, delves into the mystery of one of the most controversial and highly publicized claims of a UFO crash with the opening of THE ROSWELL EXHIBIT. The exhibit lands in Tallahassee on Saturday, August 30, 2008 and will take off Thursday, January 8, 2009.
