Since its inception in 1986 the Tallahassee Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (TACVB) has been the primary source for advertising, organizing and promoting tourism in the Tallahassee area. Each year, more than 2.0 million travelers visit our area.

In Leon County alone this represents an economic impact of $750 million, with a total economic impact of over a billion as money circulates through the community.  Additionally, visitor spending creates direct and indirect wages, accounting for about one in ten jobs in Leon County -- making tourism the third largest "employer" in Leon County and a critical component of our economic base.

The TACVB provides hotels, retailers, restaurants and other organizations with valuable benefits and services that can help maximize the marketing value and exposure of their products by reaching out to the tourism industry on their behalf or collaboratively.
